It is normal that when you are working in travel or trekking or rafting agent, you get cancellation in advance and sometime at the last moment. If you get the information in advance you take it easy and in smooth way. But if the cancellation is at the last moment it will be a hectic job for you.
So I have noted some urgent jobs that a travel agent staff should take an immediate action in case of cancellation. Here we go with priority.
- Inform your guest about the cancellation charges as per your company rules. Send them invoices on time and start the immediate action as below.
- Inform your hotel to cancel room reservation.
- Inform your airline or a ticketing agent to cancel the flight ticket whether it is national or international airline.
- Inform your transport agent or staff to release the booking.
Make sure the cancellation are done properly. Do not forget to inform your senior and your BOSS. Otherwise you get lost.
